goal setting

so, while i'm busy looking for a job, moving into a new house, and about to start an internship, its a perfect time to set new goals, right?? right.

on january 8, 2011 i will run a half marathon (13.1 miles) in Disney World.

if you know anything about me, i hate running.
but its on my list to do, and where else better to do it?

so i started my running routine today, yuck. but i will be all the better for it in the end and who knows? maybe i'll start liking to run. nah, probably not. :)

another week at work over, another showcase, whew...

spent the weekend at the lakehouse, so wonderful. and relaxing. but now i'm a lobster, womp womp.

one more week at the aurora!! and then its onto actor's express. weird when life changes.

still no move-in date for the new house at chateau elan... but i'll be crafty soon and i'll post some pictures.

that's my last two weeks in a nutshell. :)

last week i worked at the aurora for their prelude to the 4th business, and we did Wizard of Oz. tons of fun, fo sho.





and its back to the grindstone at work, haha. we'll have another showcase a week from friday.

in a completely different vein, my parents are moving in august so i'm going with them until i get my own place. i'm shopping for new room decor and feeling pretty crafty... once i get some good things done i'll post them.

what a crazy week, sorry for the lack of blogging.

i went to evan and whitney's wedding on saturday, it was so beautiful! i'm so happy for them and it was an amazing time, seeing old friends again.




then this week i went to my friend Amalea's cabin and a few of us had some girl time.




and last night some of my best friends played at chastain and opened for collective soul.




all the while working at the aurora camp, sleep deprived. happy but sleepy. :)

finished first week of camp. our lil babies were so sweet doing their aesop's fables.
i got myself a cute lil boyfriend, austin.
too bad i'll never see him again after this week, aw. :)


our 3-5 graders weren't actually bad at all. we had a clown come in and do a show at the theatre, and my cute little boyfriend got to go up on stage where he played the frob prince. SUPER cute.



this week i'll start with the musical theatre high schoolers. completely different ball game. we'll see how it goes.
PS saturday night was whitney's bachorlette party... more on that later. :)

half a decade

surprise 50th birthday party for my dad last night.

he WAS actually surprised, which was... surprising.
it was pretty interesting my sister and i being the only two people there under forty.

other than that, taking it pretty chill this weekend before work kicks in.

i'm going to buy avocado to put my on sammiches. yum.
at least our color for camp this year is BLUE, so i won't look so atrocious all the time, ha.

Woot. It will house links to my online resume, novels, and this here blog. for now. maybe my more creative stuff will make a debut later on.

i went to a braves game this week for my beautiful friend hannah's birthday, such a blast. its like, i haven't NOT seen my friends for long enough yet for it to really sink in that i'm out of college. maybe it never will? that'd be ok. :)

on a different note, i'm starting Aurora camps next week full time. let the adventure continue.
